Halloween is just a few days away, and soon your little ghosts and goblins will be gearing up for the annual race to score the most candy. Safety is always a concern on Halloween night, and the app Trick or Tracker can help to ease your fears.
The app allows parents to instantly see where their child is, based on GPS capabilities. Children can also find their parent with a compass that points towards the parent’s location. Parents can set boundaries for a certain geographical location, and if a child wanders beyond those boundaries, the app will send an alert to the parent. Trick or Tracker also helps parents to enforce curfews; the app sends an alert to the parent’s phone when children arrive at home. Another feature is a flashlight for illuminating a dark street or to help find a treat at the bottom of the candy bag. Trick or Tracker is available for $4.99 from the app store. The app needs to be downloaded onto both the child’s phone (must be an Android phone) and the parent’s phone (any Google maps-loaded phone: iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Phone 7). This app works all year round, so you can use it anytime to help keep your child safe.
Have a safe and happy Halloween!
